Before i complete this declaration, let me fill you in on the circumstances that led to this declaration. I spent Friday night watchin a movie with two friends of mine, as I prepare to leave I notice she got an invite to a party thrown by my best friend. Now when I spoke to my best friend last, she told me she was going to be busy all weekend. Now she's throwing a party and I wasn't invited. I was pissed because I was lied to, not because I wasn't invited. So I called her the next day, got invited to go to the party, and did not mention how mad I was because I was lied to because I did not feel like being an asshole. So I end up getting a ride from my roomie to get myself some alcohol and I go to my friend's apartment. I knock a few times, no one hears so I try my friend's cell and she's not answering. Finally I get someone to answer and I find out my friend is passed out already and that because someone who I do not get along with is there, it is best I do not enter. Of course there are other friends of mine there but they do not offer me any help whatsoever, these people who I have helped out many times. So one of my friend's roomies tells me she'll call me the next day, which was yesterday, and guess what no call! There's the synopsis of the events, here's the declaration.
I, Joseph Michael McPherson, make this declaration. I no longer have any best friends here at Central Michigan University. I have plenty of friends, but none of you will be considered my best friend(s). I no longer feel the need to give someone that much trust when I am unable to get a miniscule amount of it back from a majority. It's interesting, I sit here at a computer writing this while thinking about all the stuff I've seen occur thus far this year, and am still amazed. Things should be better, yet I can't help but feel they are worse. Me personally, I'm feeling like I haven't felt in a long time, and I have a few people to thank for that. Yet professionally, as both a cadet and officer in the BN and QG, I feel like I've failed. My loyalty to those I call friend has brought me into conflict with others, either directly or indirectly, and I feel the strain. Being with the people who I care about helps alleviate the stress, but it never goes away. So I deal like I always do, because if I wasn't being told things or helping my friends, then I'd have no life because my friends are my life. And like the assassin said in The Punisher, "In time all things shall pass away, in time you may come back someday. To live once more, or die once more. But in time your time will be no more." |

Well, after talking to my mom and thinking about it, one of my dreams I had may have been what I needed to get over some stuff. Case in point, I found out how my friend feels about me, not the way I had hoped. The funny thing is usually I feel hurt but I didn't, I ACTUALLY DIDN'T GET UPSET! Wow, changes have come and I think I like them. Now there is someone else I like, who I'm contemplating pursuing. Hopefully she may be the one to actually say yes. We'll see

I had alluded to a war that was brewing, now it is no more. A person mightier than both factions squashed the war like a junebug, yet even he admitted that the feelings that led to such a conflict were not going to go away. We can try to bury them underneath everything else, but like an infected wound it will fester again. All I can hope is that a tenuous peace can exist for the time being. If not...well then we shall see, won't we.

Think I should seriously consider taking my emotional .357 Magnum and put a few new airholes in my emotions. If anyone agrees with me, let me know why, and if anyone disagrees let me know why.
Now I should give some background on why I feel like doing what I do. Early Tuesday morning, I had a discussion with a friend. My friend was depressed and feeling down and I, as a good friend, tried to comfort them. My attempts were rebuffed it seemed. She doesn't seem to value my friendship, she values her best friend's over me. That is not a problem but I really am trying to be her friend and not pine for her. So I feel upset that I am being brushed off and not being accepted. That's the background, make your decision.

It's 24:22 Sunday morning, and I am enjoying a few drinks with friends. Our college team beat our archrivals in overtime this afternoon, and I got to spend time with my friends which was cool. However, as seems to be the custom when I'm drinking and it always happens no matter what I try to do, I feel lonely. Even drinkin with friends brings this out in me, and that's not good. And because I do not feel like dealin with these demons right now, I will end this at that.

Seems that life is treating me pretty good, all things considered. I finally told that girl how I felt about her, she isn't looking but we'll keep an open mind on the possibilites. First tim in awhile that a girl hasn't blown me off, and that is taking a little bit of getting used to. Today is my nephew Jairyd's birthday, my brother went to Virginia to give him his presents and wish him a happy birthday from myself and the rest of our family. A week from this coming Monday is my dad's birthday, I'll be heading to the UP a week from Saturday to give him a card and see him and the rest of my family. Well, business needs to be done so I needs to go. Hopefully people will leave comments.
